Perky Puffer at 1,000 Steps

It’s not every day you make friends with a puffer fish, but I couldn’t deny the connection I had with this perky puffer while scuba diving at the 1,000 Steps reef in Bonaire. They followed me for the entirety of the dive, the perfect little tour guide!

All of my aquatic art begins as a sketch made underwater while I scuba dive. Upon the conclusion of the dive, I bring my sketches to the surface and paint the scenes which unfolded on the reef.

This work is custom framed under UV-filtering glass.
