Yellow Submarine

During a night dive on Yellow Submarine reef, I encountered the largest lobster of my life! I had never seen a Caribbean Spiny Lobster in real life before, and I was enamored with the gorgeous markings on their tail. The lobster was so large that when I startled it with my dive light it tried to reverse back into the coral but couldn’t! 

All of my aquatic art begins as a sketch made underwater while I scuba dive. Upon the conclusion of the dive, I bring my sketches to the surface and paint the scenes which unfolded on the reef.
